All Idea Foundry members must be 18+ years in age. Any Idea Foundry member found in violation of the Idea Foundry Membership Handbook (available to preview here: http://bit.ly/IFMemberHandbook) may have their membership revoked. When you register for membership or day pass or otherwise register as a guest in the space, you agree to adhere to this code of conduct.
Liability and photo release: Coworking & office members are prohibited from going into restricted areas of the attached Makerspace or utilized reserved event venue spaces except as authorized.
Idea Foundry monthly memberships are processed on the 1st of the month. Failure to remain in good standing regarding membership dues may result interruption or termination of membership benefits.
For Makerspace members, I understand that I am participating in a live class or demonstration which may involve a number of tools (such as, but not limited to, welding equipment, woodworking tools, cutting devices, soldering tools, etc.). Although I will be supervised by Idea Foundry staff, members, or instructors, I fully understand that any tool can be hazardous and that a number of dangerous conditions may apply to my activity, such as sharp objects, spinning, rotating or moving blades, bits, or other tool components, hot objects or equipment, and/or exposure to materials that may be toxic or dangerous if ingested or otherwise improperly handled.
With this knowledge, accept full responsibility for my own safety and conduct and will hold the Columbus Idea Foundry, its instructors, and members harmless for any accidents or incidents that may occur as a result of this class, demonstration, or activity.
I certify that I am in good physical and mental condition and free of any medications, drugs, or alcohol that will affect my ability to perform this activity safely and as directed.
Additionally, I understand that occasionally, people representing various media outlets or the Columbus Idea Foundry itself may take photographs or video of classes, events, or activities. I authorize these media outlets and the Idea Foundry to use, reproduce and/or publish photographs and/or video that may pertain to me—including my image, likeness, and/or voice without compensation and that this material may be used in various publications in print or online, for recruitment material, or other related endeavors.
